The number of visits to the UK’s leading property portals owned by Zoopla Property Group (ZPG) and Rightmove has surged by 64% over the last twelve months according to web traffic monitoring firm Hitwise.
The Hitwise figures reveal that the top 3 portals; Zoopla, Rightmove and Primelocation account for 59% of all online property traffic, whilst the next 1,000 biggest property websites in the UK combined account for only 41% of the total property audience.
Alex Chesterman, Founder & CEO of ZPG, said: "The latest figures from Hitwise show that online property consumers, just like in other verticals, want one-stop shops which can meet all their property search requirements and are increasingly turning to the major portals to do their market research and find their next home. We continue to grow our market share and will continue to invest in delivering the results that our members expect.”
The leading UK portals market share of all online property visits has climbed from 54% one year ago to 59%. ZPG has grown the fastest growth over the last 12 months with traffic to the ZPG portals up 76.3% since this time last year, versus 57.8% for Rightmove.
