182 mixed-tenure homes set for Brentwood

The Vistry Group has secured detailed planning permission from Brentwood Borough Council for a site at Doddinghurst Road in Brentwood which will deliver 182 high-quality mixed-tenure homes.

The site will include a mix of private and affordable housing, with 64 affordable and 118 for private sale.

Peter Willis, Managing Director at Vistry Eastern Home Counties, said: “At Vistry we are committed to delivering the mix of homes that communities need so we are very pleased to have received planning permission for this site in Brentwood, representing a significant step forward in helping to meet local housing needs. This is a really exciting milestone for Vistry and our valued partners and supply chain. We look forward to bringing this project to fruition.”.

Alongside new homes, the site will also deliver a southern parcel that will be cleared in part and transformed into a greenspace with pathways. Additional open spaces, a play area, and proposed seating will also be provided throughout the development.

Construction is expected to commence in early 2026, with the first homes anticipated for completion in winter 2026.
