SNG has completed the delivery of 158 affordable homes next to Central Middlesex Hospital in Park Royal, London Borough of Brent.

The former call centre and storage facility site in Central Way has been transformed into a mixture of one, two and three-bed apartments with 134 properties for Shared Ownership (marketed as The Restorey) and 24 for London Affordable Rent.

Matt Bird, SNG managing director – London and East, said: “It’s great to see this development get over the line with the homes and restored refectory looking fantastic. The new residents are set to be part of an exciting transformation of this corner of the capital with Old Oak and Park Royal set to become a major new neighbourhood and thriving community in the coming years. They’ll also be the latest customers to get a much-needed affordable home as we look to deliver around 2,500 new homes per year.” 

A restored former refectory, which was once part of a Victorian workhouse, was the final part of the development to be completed with the space ready to be used as a commercial and community resource.

The homes have also been designed to minimise energy consumption with solar panels, air source heat pumps and low energy LED lighting throughout and exteriors sealed tight to minimise heat loss.
