102 affordable homes agreed for Hertford

Network Homes has exchanged contracts with Croudace Homes to deliver 102 affordable homes at Sele Farm, Hertford.

The scheme is in Thieves Lane to the west of Hertford town centre and will be part of a wider 254-home development called Blakemore Manor.

The affordable properties, which are part of a Section 106 agreement with Croudace Homes, will be a mixture of one and two-bedroom apartments, and two, three, and four-bedroom houses.

David Gooch, Network Homes Executive Director for Development, said: We're delighted to be working with Croudace to deliver 102 affordable homes for rent and shared ownership on the outskirts of Hertford.  The development is an attractive one offering a wide spectrum of homes from one bedroom apartments through to 3 and 4 bedroom houses all of which will be offered to people living in East Herts.”

Seventy-one homes will be for Affordable Rent, providing genuinely affordable, high quality homes for those on lower incomes, and 31 homes for Shared Ownership, helping residents to buy a new property with a lower deposit.
