Earlsfield Park Masterplan in Merseyside approved

A masterplan by Ion Development for a 56 acre site in North Huyton, Merseyside has been approved by Knowsley Council’s planning committee.

The Earlsfield Park Masterplan, is located near junction 2 of the M57 and will see around 160 new homes and a minimum of 39 acres of employment land created.

It will also have leisure and retail uses including a petrol station, a drive-through restaurant, a pub/restaurant, a 40–60 bed hotel, pedestrian and cyclist access.

Cllr Graham Morgan, Knowsley’s cabinet member for regeneration and economic development said: “Approving the Masterplan is a major step towards securing the development of and investment into this important site.

“The new homes and employment will not only contribute towards the ambitious growth plans for Knowsley, but it will also contribute towards the economic growth of the Liverpool City Region.”

Before any development can take place, Knowsley Council will need to approve any individual planning applications with Ion Development’s expected to submit a planning application for the first phase of the development soon.
