Richborough Estates has secured outline planning permission for the delivery of new housing off Lower Road, in Aylesbury.
The scheme will see 125 new homes, 30% of which will be affordable, together with areas of green public open space and a children’s play area.
James Bradshaw, Divisional Director at Richborough Estates, said: “The plans for this development make the most of the existing natural greenery, with a large central village green at the heart of the development that can be enjoyed by residents and the public, as well as a children’s play area.
“Responding to the need for local housing as specified in Aylesbury Vale District Council’s emerging Local Plan, the proposals for the new development include 30% affordable housing, helping ensure that there are sufficient affordable homes available for local people in the area and contributing to the local economy.”
The 14 acre site, located just south of Stoke Mandeville Hospital, has been allocated in the emerging Local Plan for housing. An outline planning application was submitted in December 2016 and approved at committee in June 2017, subject to the completion of a Section 106 Agreement.
