Greystar has announced plans for a purpose-built rental development in central London, near the River Thames at Nine Elms having exchanged contracts to acquire two plots from Royal Mail plc..
Greystar has agreed a partnership with Telford Homes to build the development, which includes 894 apartments and a wide range of amenities are being considered, such as residents’ lounges, clubrooms and games rooms, bars and restaurants, an observatory deck, a business hub, state-of-the art gyms and a 24-hour concierge.
Mark Allnutt, Managing Director Multifamily, Greystar said: “This will be without question central London’s most exciting rental community. There’s nothing comparable in the UK in terms of scale and resident amenity. We believe that London is finally ready for a five-star rental experience and we’re proud to be bringing this to Nine Elms in partnership with Telford Homes, a housebuilder synonymous with quality.”
The two plots are adjacent to each other on a larger site in the centre of Nine Elms, close to where the new US Embassy will be located.
The Greystar apartments will be within walking distance of two new underground stations on the extended Northern Line and a footbridge across the River Thames will connect the site with the north bank.
