Haverhill Business Park in Haverhill, Suffolk will be extended by 500,000 sq ft after Hammond Rutts Investments was granted planning permission by St Edmundsbury Borough Council.
The 30-acre extension to the park comprises 494,770 sq ft of industrial distribution, office and roadside space to be built across seven plots.
Jonjo Lyles, head of industrial agency at BNP Paribas Real Estate, said: “This planning consent gives businesses a rare opportunity to locate to Grade A, build-to-suit premises within the South Cambridge business and technology cluster.
“We expect interest on the remaining plots to be strong given Haverhill Business Park’s excellent location and the lack of similar opportunities in the area.”
Haverhill Business Park is prominently located on the A1017 Haverhill Bypass, 19 miles southeast of Cambridge and 18 miles north-east of London Stansted Airport, and is suitable for occupiers serving both Haverhill
and Cambridge.
Taurus Developments, which is acting as development manager on the owner’s behalf, hopes to start work on site in February in 2017.
