Teddington in south-west London will soon have a new residential square after developer London Square has completed the purchase of a site in the heart of the area and received planning permission.
The £30m scheme will be on a 0.9-acre site on Waldegrave Road and is a former light industrial site with an office building.
Brian Betsy, Managing Director at London Square, said: "Following the success of our exclusive new square in Fulham, we are creating a traditional square in Teddington, with gardens and open space, reflecting the enduring popularity of this historic design. Teddington is an attractive area for families and young professionals, close to the Thames; with good schools, leisure facilities and transport links to central London. This site supports our ethos of delivering prime sites in highly coveted areas of London where there is continuing demand for new homes."
The gated development will be set around a central landscaped square and include underground parking, with work expected to start in site in the spring.
