White City residential scheme to go ahead

The 1.55m sqft Brickfields residential-led mixed use development by Helical Bar and Aviva Investors has received planning permission for the former Dairy Crest site at White City, London W12.

The 11 acre site is located next to White City underground station by Shepherds Bush in West London, and is just north of Westfield London. It will provide 1,150 new homes, 210,000 sqft of offices and around 60,000 sqft of retail and leisure.

Matthew Bonning-Snook, Development Director at Helical Bar said: "This is a major step forward in realising the potential of this significantly underutilised brownfield site. The Eric Parry designed masterplan seeks to properly integrate this scheme with the other emerging projects within the White City Opportunity Area, providing a cohesive vision for the regeneration of the area."

Brickfields forms part of the White City Opportunity Area, a large area of land identified as a key strategic location for regeneration by Hammersmith & Fulham Council and the Mayor of London.
