A new £50m 410-home neighbourhood is to be built in the heart of Blackpool after planning permission was granted to Broadway Malyan for their client Hollinwood Homes by Blackpool Council.

The 'Foxhall Village' scheme will be constructed on a 7.2 hectare site across two parcels of land along Rigby Road on either side of Seasiders Way, close to Blackpool FC's stadium.

The planning go-ahead will result in the working up of a Reserved Matters application for the initial phase of the scheme, with work expected to start on site in September, delivering 218 new homes by December 2015, and the wider development being delivered over an eight to ten-year timeframe.
