Luxury residential scheme get green light

A 280,000 sqft 165 home luxury residential scheme planned for Sugar Quay on the north bank of the river Thames has received approval from the City of London.

The 11 storey scheme, designed by Foster + Partners for CPC Group, comprises 38 studio apartments, 44 one-bed apartments, 60 two-beds, 12 three-beds, and 11 three- and four-bed penthouses and will be built on the site of the former offices of Tate & Lyle.

Christian Candy, founder of CPC Group, said: "This is a unique site directly on the river and the redevelopment will make a major contribution to this part of the River Thames."
