Stiebel Eltron has launched a renewable energy ‘one-stop-shop’ advice centre aimed at both the public and private commercial sector.
Stiebel Eltron will offer guidance on a number of issues including complying with legislation, applying for ‘green’ grants, taking advantage of tax breaks and advice on the installation of renewable energy products. The service also includes undertaking a survey of premises anywhere in the UK and producing a free report.
The service has been launched as Stiebel Eltron believes that there is widespread private sector ignorance of green legislation and due to the massive Government pressure on the public sector to meet green targets.
Mark McManus, UK managing director of Stiebel Eltron, told PIN: “We provide a one-stop-shop for anyone looking to use renewable energy products. This includes a free report which will examine a building’s energy efficiency and give a series of green recommendations. We can advise developers and builders on compliance with building regulations and reducing build costs. For landlords and local authorities we can manage technical system problems from a central point using our own call centre and engineers. For installers, who we are looking to recruit, we can offer free specialist training in how to maintain these products which will be a vital skill in the future.”
