Planning consent has been approved for Land Securities to develop a leisure scheme next to its Westwood Cross shopping park in Thanet, Kent.

Landsec bought the 8.5 acre site earlier this year for £7.2m and are now set to develop a 96,000 sq ft leisure scheme.

The detailed planning consent permits a hotel, casino, multiplex cinema, bingo, restaurants and over 500 parking spaces.
