Residential development in Bristol submitted for approval

Godwin Developments, in partnership with Ferrer Projects, has announced that it has submitted a planning application for a new residential development in Bristol.

The proposed scheme, located on Hope Road in Bedminster, will transform a disused 0.65-acre brownfield site into a residential development featuring 88 sustainably designed one- and two-bedroom apartments.

Yuved Bheenick, residential development director for Godwin Developments, said: “We are delighted to have submitted our plans for the Hope Road development to Bristol City Council. Bristol faces a significant shortage of quality housing across all tenures, and this former industrial site provides an excellent opportunity to regenerate a disused brownfield plot into a modern, well-designed residential community. Our apartments have been designed to meet nationally described space standards as well as Bristol’s Urban Living policies, ensuring they meet the needs of the local community while contributing to the city’s housing supply.”

The scheme ranges from three to seven storeys in height and all apartments are dual-aspect to maximise natural light for residents and include private outdoor spaces, such as balconies or terraces.

The development includes limited car parking provision and instead focuses on promoting sustainable travel with residents benefiting from 204 bicycle storage spaces, to encourage the use of cycling as well as walking, and public transport.

The Hope Road scheme is located just two miles from Bristol City Centre and offers convenient access to various amenities, including shops, schools, healthcare services, and green spaces.
