Construction started on Warrington warehouse space

The scheme will boast a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certification and achieve a minimum of EPC ‘A’ rating, helping occupiers to reduce their operational energy usage and costs. The units stand at 80,000 sq ft and 45,000 sq ft respectively, with the larger unit equipped with rooftop solar PV.

Jake Shilston, Development Director at St. Modwen Logistics, said: “The delivery of high-quality sustainable logistics space at Trident Business Park will transform previously outdated areas of the site and support hundreds of new jobs. Exceptionally located, these units will provide modern and flexible space for a range of distribution and manufacturing uses.

“St. Modwen Logistics has a strong track record of developing the flexible modern workspace local businesses need to thrive and grow and this latest phase of development will provide another boost to the local economy.”

Both buildings will incorporate 10% roof lights which allow the workspace to be flooded with natural light and airtight cladding to ensure a stable temperature all-year round. 20% of total car parking will possess EV charging units.

Completion is targeted for late December 2024.
