Sustainable family homes development renamed

A development of highly sustainable family homes, which was previously known as East Float, has been named as Redbridge Quay, due to its proximity to the landmark red bridge in the northeast corner of Wirral docks.

The change is as a result of Peel L&P taking over the whole development from House by Urban Splash, Peel L&P’s original joint-venture partner, earlier in the year.

Richard Mawdsley, Peel L&P’s director of development for Wirral Waters, said: “Redbridge Quay will ensure the delivery of new sustainable and contemporary homes for families, individuals and couples in a south-facing waterfront location. It is part of the Northbank neighbourhood area in Wirral Waters where – with the support of Homes England – we are creating homes for all, including 100 new affordable homes at Millers Quay. Northbank will provide a significant contribution to the shortfall in local housing, well away from any green belt land.”

Redbridge Quay is a key part of the emerging Northbank neighbourhood of Wirral Waters and will include a mix of the award winning ‘Town House’ and ‘Row House’ modular homes, which have been designed by Liverpool architects Shedkm. Each individual home is being precision engineered using Modern Methods of Construction (MMC).
