330 new homes set for Cambridgeshire

McBains along with Barratt & David Wilson Homes has secured planning approval for 336 new dwellings at Wintringham Park, a new sustainable urban extension development to the east of St Neots in Cambridgeshire.

The new development will be a mix of townhouses, larger detached family houses and apartments arranged around a series of green spaces and corridors. The development provides a mix of 269 market and 67 affordable homes.

Peter O’Rourke, Director of Housing and Masterplanning at McBains, said: “In keeping with the wider sustainability agenda for Wintringham, each home features electric car charging points and the overall layout has been designed to encourage safe walking and cycling, with easy access to green spaces including a linear park and pocket park.”

Wintringham already benefits from a striking new primary school and forms part of the St Neots Eastern Expansion Area, a sustainable urban extension development area covering 227 hectares of greenfield land comprising a total of 3500 new dwellings, community facilities and services including schools, shops, recreation areas and open space.
