Following a referral to the Mayor of London and MHCLG, plans for new council offices and 477 new homes in Ealing have been approved for Vistry Partnerships London Developments and Ealing Council.
They secured resolution to grant planning permission from the local planning authority for the major new scheme on Uxbridge Road.
Matthew Taylor, Managing Director of Vistry Partnerships London Developments, said: “We’re extremely pleased to move forward with these major regeneration plans, which will deliver not only new homes, but also fantastic new council offices, a new library, commercial spaces and a range of public realm improvements.”
Under the plans, the Council’s existing offices and car park at Perceval House will be redeveloped to create a new civic hub including smaller modern council offices, a new library, and a purpose-built Customer Service Centre.
The new homes will be located within six new residential apartment buildings, with 50% being genuinely affordable and offered in a range of tenures to meet local need, including London affordable rent and discount market rent.
Major public realm improvements covering 1400 sqm will create pedestrian and cycle routes throughout the site to improve local connections. A mix of commercial spaces will be flexibly designed, including workspace, retail and leisure spaces, complementing the existing town centre and Dickens Yard.
