£14m, 19-unit industrial scheme proposed for Birmingham

A joint venture between Chancerygate and Hines have purchased a 3.75-acre site at the Advanced Manufacturing Hub in Birmingham to speculatively build a new 19-unit industrial and warehouse scheme with a gross development value (GDV) of around £14m.

The proposed scheme, which totals 93,000 sq ft, will provide units ranging from 2,500 to 9,000 sq ft and a planning proposal will be submitted for the development in the forthcoming months with completion scheduled for autumn 2020.

Richard Bains, Chancerygate managing director, said: “This was a very attractive site for our joint venture to acquire, as it is already a well-established regional hub for advanced manufacturing. We will be building high-quality, smaller industrial and warehouse units which will complement those already on site.”

The Advanced Manufacturing Hub is a joint initiative between Birmingham City Council and Homes England and is located adjacent to junction 6 of the M6.
