Planning consent for Limehouse mixed-use redevelopment approved

Workspace Group PLC and Canada Life Investments have been granted planning consent for a mixed-use redevelopment on their adjoining properties in Limehouse, London E1.

Workspace’s share of the planning consent (44% of the total) comprises 117 residential units (264 units in total) and 31,000 sq ft of new commercial space (70,000 sq ft in total). This will replace the current 19,800 sq. ft. light industrial building which was valued at £10.8m as at 30 September 2018.

Jamie Hopkins, Chief Executive Officer of Workspace, said: “We are delighted to receive this planning consent. This redevelopment continues our strategy to deliver added value from our property portfolio.”

The site is located a short walk from both Limehouse and Shadwell railway stations.
