Planning permission has been secured by Carter Jonas on behalf of Barratt London and the Hyde Group for 350 homes alongside new community and leisure facilities across two development plots in the second phase at Harrow View East.
The Harrow View East development is on the former Kodak factory, set within the Harrow & Wealdstone Opportunity Area and the Heart of Harrow Housing Zone.
The scheme will comprise a mix of unit types and tenure in order to meet the range of needs of local people and in the second phase 40% of the new homes will be affordable housing.
Alister Henderson, Partner at Carter Jonas said: “It is a privilege to be involved with a scheme that has community at its core such as Harrow View East. We are proud to have been a part of the team creating this new and exciting urban neighbourhood. The planning permission will enable Barratt London and the Hyde Group to take the next step in delivering much needed new homes and amenities to the people of Harrow. This project is a good example of how our planning specialists can work collaboratively with other delivery partners – such as architects Pollard Thomas Edwards – to create meaningful solutions for our clients.”
The second phase will see the creation of 14,500 sq ft of new community and leisure facilities plus a further extension to the already approved landscaped green link.
David Gannicott, Group Director of Business Development at the Hyde Group said: “This latest milestone in the development of Eastman Village is a testament to the hard work and dedication of all the partners working together to create a fantastic new community in Harrow. We are thrilled to be part of this exciting project and look forward to providing more people with a roof so they can make a home.”
