Barratt London, Wilson Bowden and Hounslow Council have signed a Development Agreement to deliver the High Street Quarter redevelopment, thus providing significant regeneration in Hounslow.
Barratt London, in partnership with Wilson Bowden, were selected by the Council last November as their developer partner for the High Street Quarter and will work with the Council to deliver a mixed use scheme that will be the first major development in the High Street for over 20 years.
Cllr Steve Curran, Cabinet member for Housing, Planning and Regeneration, said: "The High Street Quarter development is the cornerstone of our regeneration strategy and will also act as a catalyst to bring further growth and prosperity to the town and the borough."
The High Street quarter development will deliver a residential-led mixed use scheme that includes a brand new multi screen cinema, retail space, new private and affordable homes, an underground car park and a major new public space linking the Blenheim Centre to the existing High Street.
Alastair Baird, Regional Managing Director for Barratt London, said: "We have built up an excellent relationship with Hounslow over the last few years through our work at Great West Quarter and we are delighted to be chosen as their partner for this hugely important town centre regeneration project."
