Plans have been submitted for a new 550 home neighbourhood by CALA Homes for a 120 acre site in the Aberdeen suburb of Milltimber.
The site has been earmarked for development in the Aberdeen Local Development Plan, and in addition to the homes, a variety of three to six-bedroom properties, will also include a new primary school, a mixed-use commercial centre and significant areas of green open space and landscaped parkland.
Mike Naysmith, Regional Director for CALA Homes (East) Ltd, said: "This is one of the most significant homes' developments that CALA is taking forward anywhere in the UK.
"We are responding to a huge demand in Aberdeen and the wider area for high quality family homes. What makes this development so special is that it will be at the heart of a new and vibrant mixed-use community linking to a new school, open green spaces and offices.
"We have the opportunity to create a flagship development in one of the UK's most desirable and affluent city neighbourhoods - and one that can set the quality benchmark for other developers to follow."
The proposals are a result of a comprehensive 21 month consultation process linking CALA with local people and key stakeholders and include nine exclusive plots, each extending to over one acre, which will be designed in conjunction with the purchasers to create a bespoke, luxury home meeting the owners' personal requirements and taste.
Mike Naysmith adds: "From the early stages of planning, we have consulted extensively with both the local community and Aberdeen City Council, and the master-plan has been shaped by the feedback given to us by local residents and community groups.
Dependent on planning permission, CALA will be looking to start on site in 2014, with a view to completing the first properties in 2015.
