Vilnius apartment prices continue to decline

Apartment sale prices in Vilnius, Lithuania have continued their slow decline as they fell again by 0.1% during January 2012 having fallen by the same amount in December 2011 according to Ober-Haus.

Despite this overall fall, sale prices have risen in the prestigious districts and central part of the city by 0.2–0.3%, but have fallen by 0.3% in the main residential districts.
In the past 12 months apartment prices in Vilnius have seen positive growth and equalled 1% with the average price of €1,201 per sqm, however prices to January 2012 have fallen 39.4% since the highest recorded apartment price level was reached back in December 2007.
