355-Unit Dandi Co-Living Scheme Launched in Wembley

The London based property developer Dandi recently opened its flagship co-living scheme in Wembley, north London. Working in partnership with co-developer Dukelease Properties, the development comprises 355 studio and one-bedroom units over 16 floors, and is purpose built for the rental market.

Dandi has transformed a former 14-storey office building into studio apartments, with the addition of two floors in which the building’s communal facilities are located. Each compact apartment has been carefully designed to maximize every centimetre of space. Floating beds, modular sofas, pull out breakfast bars, along with concealed kitchen cabinets have all been cleverly designed to maximise the available space and to deliver a stylish co-living experience for residents.

Each apartment contains a 50-inch smart TV, kitchenette, a separate bathroom with rainfall shower, multiple storage units and bespoke furniture, which are purpose built at Dandi’s own factory, located nearby in west London.

The co-living scheme is adjacent to the Wembley stadium complex, and residents have access to the top two floors where they can drink and eat at a café-bar, which is accessible to non-resident members and with views over Wembley stadium. In addition residents can access an exclusive and separate lounge bar, also on the sixteenth floor with outside terraces and which also offers views over the London skyline. On the fifteenth floor there is a wellness studio/gym, cinema room, meeting rooms, private dining areas and a BBQ garden terrace. A meeting/events space allows social gatherings of up to 140 people, available to hire by residents and also by members of the co-working facility located on the fifteenth floor.

With the aim of bringing residents together to fully appreciate the co-living experience, a curated series of cultural and social events are planned each month comprising of supper clubs, micro theatre performances and live music sessions.

Residents have access to super-fast WiFi, and a virtual concierge app, and the building also has 24-hour security with communal managers on site each day. Additional services available for residents include cycle storage, launderette, storage lockers and fortnightly cleaning.

According to Ali Reza Ravanshad, founder of Dandi, the Wembley co-living scheme is a culmination of a seventeen-year process during which they have worked on smaller projects.
“We are delighted to launch our flagship scheme here at Wembley and the process will not stop as we aim to launch new projects in Brondesbury and Battersea. We are a family business and our aim is to challenge norms by creating beautiful private spaces while being part of something bigger. A co-living community that interacts in a range of elegant shared spaces without compromising on style.

“Our vision is not just about style but also about how we create it, as we have our own purpose built factory locally here in west London where we have total control over the quality and sustainability of the units within each apartment and within the communal facilities. From product design to manufacturing, construction to management, we want to do things the right way and ultimately to redefine people’s expectation of city living.”

Ravanshad confirmed to Property Investor News that interest in the scheme from renters had been overwhelmingly positive, adding that all the 355 units have now been let in just 90 days. Rents for the studios ranged from £1,260pcm and £1,750pcm for the one-bed apartments.
