Auction Round Up

This months snapshot report on the residential auction scene starts off in Liverpool where there was standing room only at Sutton Kershs opening auction of 2012 on the 16th February at the Marriott Hotel in Liverpool City Centre.

There were 89 properties on offer with guide prices starting from just nil reserve and the auction house generated a total of £4,314,000 in receipts selling 70% of the catalogue, representing their best auction result in Merseyside since September 2009.

There were eight properties withdrawn from the initial catalogue of 97 lots and 11 properties had sold prior including a vacant commercial unit on Dale Street in Liverpool City Centre. A further 45 properties were then sold in the room and five more completed a sale immediately after the auction giving a success rate of over 70%.
