Major new industrial and logistics scheme proposed for Rosyth

Scarborough Muir Group has submitted a formal Proposal of Application Notice (PAN) to Fife Council for the development of a major new industrial and logistics scheme at their Queensferry One project in Rosyth.

Situated at the gateway to Fife, adjacent to Junction 1B of the M90 and Queensferry Crossing, Queensferry One spans 120-acres of brownfield land and already has outline planning consent for 1.4m sq ft of mixed-use space.

Ross Jubin, Development and Investment Consultant at Scarborough Group International, said: "The submission of this PAN marks another important step forward towards realising our ambition for Queensferry One to become the largest international industrial and logistics hub in the Central Belt of Scotland.

“We’re now giving the public the chance to have their say on the first phase of our proposed scheme, which will provide significant socio-economic benefits to the local community, and look forward to engaging with them as we progress through the planning process.”

The proposed scheme, is a joint venture between Scarborough Group International and Inverkeithing-based contractor, Muir Group, and will form the first phase of the new development approach at the site, which is tipped to become the largest international industrial and logistics hub in the Central Belt of Scotland.

SGI intends to submit a planning application for the proposed scheme later this year following the minimum 12-week consultation period, with a view to commencing construction in early 2023. It is envisaged that the construction will take approximately 12 months to complete, with the new hub fully operational by early 2024.
