Co-living development in Woking approved

Halcyon Development Partners (Halcyon), in partnership with JRL Group, has secured planning approval for Woking’s first co-living development at 3-12 High Street.

The proposals will deliver 329 new co-living units, publicly accessible amenities and spaces, and a new and improved home for Woking’s charity, The Lighthouse.

Harry Manley, Head of Planning at Halcyon, said: “The approval of our proposals is a significant milestone towards the delivery of this fantastic scheme with our partners JRL Group. The development will add to our delivery portfolio of market leading and award winning co-living buildings. The design of the scheme has progressed collaboratively with the expertise of JRL alongside our own experience of co-living design. We have really enjoyed working with The Lighthouse, a much cherished and purpose-led local charity, and look forward to realising the ambition to deliver a new long-term home on the site for the group.”

The scheme has been designed for volumetric construction, and Halcyon and JRL Group expect to start on site in early 2024 with expected completion of the development occurring in 2026.

The development will deliver a modern, accessible and functional new home for The Lighthouse, which has been co-designed with The Lighthouse community.
