Stewart Stabands returns with another 'tale from the trenches'

And they're off! A 10% increase in residential asking prices from now to February 2014. Well that's what the London estate agents are telling me. And it's not just them. Everyone I talk to seems intransigent to this phenomenal growth. Well, I for one am selfishly glad of its timing.

My new venture on the coat tail forays of Candy & Candy's zillion pound profit projects is progressing well. Due diligence on strategy and Directors, (check); commercial high street lending approval, (check); introduction to high net-worth investors, (check); investor(s) approval of multi-million pound funding, TBC at our next meeting.  

I have to say, this particular new direction is quite profound to me in terms of its prodigious nature. I'm really out of my comfort zone, which in turn is enabling me to utilise, expand and learn new skills and at the same time to meet some quite incredible people. The due diligence has taken around two months, which has been a great education to all concerned. But to me the most exciting element has been the funding.  Being slightly biased, I believe we have put together an efficient and professional proposal to individuals who believe it or not have a few million sitting in their bank accounts earning a pittance. We haven't advertised what we are doing, merely utilizing the contacts we have acquired over the last ten years.
