Finding Deals in a Rising Market

Mark I'Anson offers some thoughts

It's not always about the discount - in a rising property market the guys that just haggle start to fall away because they don't know any other approach to vendors. The ones that are left are those that understand it's not about the price for a vendor - it's more often about taking away their 'pain'.

Those with the skill to find out their pain and with enough tools in the 'toolbox' will continue to get deals...

Nothing is ever, only about the price. If it were, we'd all drive Skoda's (other cheap cars are available). A negotiation has many other factors...

Let's start with why people will sell their property to you, as opposed to using the local estate agent.

We are a 'solution' company; I work with my vendors to find the best solution for whatever situation they might find themselves in, and find the best outcome for them and their family. It may be something that I do directly, or may be recommendations and advice that lead them to an alternative route to solving their problems. At this stage, I'm not looking for property, I'm looking for people.
